The Bioreactor process is Environmentally Sustainable Waste Management in practice. This is achieved through:

• Maximising energy capture to produce power;
• The process minimises greenhouse emissions by producing a renewable energy that qualifies for credits under the Federal Greenhouse programme;
• Utilising the moisture, nutrient and bacterial value from within waste streams such as Biosolids to enhance energy production;
• Long term containment and stabilisation of odorous waste streams within highly engineered Bioreactor cells;
• Potential for re-mining of the stabilised processed waste streams following Bioreactor processing to produce screened products suitable for use in mine site rehabilitation programmes and/or commercial horticultural, landscaping application; and
• The bioreactor will potentially produce enough energy per hour to power more than 10,000 homes. It is expected that the savings in greenhouse gas will be equivalent to removing 90,000 cars from the road or planting 60,000 hectares of forest.
